UNCG- looking toward the future

OHHHH, the olympics are barely over and I am expecting a lull until basketball season and what comes across my email but an announcement that Wes Miller has signed Baltimore player Kayel Locke.

Well, of course I googled him and he seems to be a well rounded player who is listed as a 6’4″ power forward.  That could be a good fit for some of the holes we have with our graduations last year.  Locke said that he waited to see what woud happen after the coach shake up last December and I guess he was good to play for Wes Miller.  Good job, Wes!

Also noted was Arizona State transfer Kyle Cain (and who wouldn’t want to get out of AZ right now) has committed to UNCG.  He has two years of eligibility left, but does have a history of suspensions by ASU coach (and former NCSU…Sendek’s Rednecks) Herb Sendek for unacceptable conduct.  I hope he has gotten that out of his system and shows up in Greensboro ready to play ball!

Who’s ready for basketball season!
