Can Basketball Bring Peace?

Whew! A lot has been going on in the basketball world and I will catch up…this semester came to an end fast and furiously.  I am still trying to catch up!!

A friend asked me to get the word out about a basketball tournament going on in Greensboro, NC on May 19th.  The tournament is called “Points for Peace” and its aim is to raise money toward a school building and water well in Gondar, Ethiopia.  This project is being undertaken by students at the American Hebrew Academy.  They want to “build a school one basket at a time.”  These four students from different countries and backgrounds have come together to help others- and they need your help.  It’s easy, just play some basketball!

Visit (and like) their Facebook page.  Consider putting together a team and show the world what a little basketball can do!
